The Homeschool Scientist Review of the Fairy Tale Physics Series
“The books are extremely well-written, with complex and quirky characters that will catch children’s interest.”
Hello!
I’m Sarah. I write fairy tales and interactive story games that teach physics for kids ages 10-12.
If you’d like to check out some of my resources, you can get my free starter pack by signing up for my newsletter.
It’s called the Sometimes Science Newsletter because sometimes I send it out and sometimes it’s science! Sometimes it’s math! I didn’t want to feel obligated to send it out if I didn’t have anything cool to share.
But in general I send out resources or cool math and physics educational content that I find in the course of my book research, as well as samples (or full versions) of my books and games.
My content is completely secular. I have a bachelor’s degree in physics and a master’s in cognition and learning. I’ve spent twenty years tutoring math and physics and taking classes on ADHD, dyslexia, dyscalculia, and curriculum design.
Come along as I write whimsical physics educational content!

Review of Newton’s Laws: A Fairy Tale
“My nine-year-old read this book in one sitting! Thank you so much, Sarah Allen, for providing a fictional tale intertwined with science concepts for kids.”

Parent Review of my Sorceress of Circuits story game:
“An absolutely brilliant game! Really fun to play, very captivating storyline - and the fact that my daughter learned (and retained) so much about electricity and circuits was amazing to me! I was very impressed with the graphics too. Overall, a wonderful idea fantastically executed!”

Reedsy review of Physics Fables
“Loved it!… Sarah Allen’s book Physics Fables, presents very complex concepts at a level that is fun and interactive for readers of all ages, and provides thoughtful information in a charming and captivating manner.”
